Resum
The objective of this work has been to introduce and to promote the use of smartphones applications (apps) and citizen science as educational resources in the teaching of science. A teaching methodology has been developed, based on the RiuNet app, in the Primary Education degree, through which the students have determined the ecological status of river stretches and they have sent the collected data to the app coordinators. Students have shown great motivation in the project and they have practically studied rivers from an ecosystem approach
