Jaime Gómez is Professor of Strategic Management at Universidad de La Rioja, in Spain. He received a PhD and a BA in Economics and Management from Universidad de Zaragoza, where he was Associate Professor until 2010. His main field of specialization is Management Strategy. He is interested in the analysis of first mover advantages and in the consequences of multimarket competition on mutual forbearance. His research also focuses on the diffusion of new technologies, especially on the study of the decisions to adopt taken by firms. He has published in The Strategic Management Journal, The Journal of Economics and Management Strategy, Research Policy, Environment and Planning A, Omega, Information Systems Research, Journal of Management Information Systems, Industrial and Corporate Change, Strategic Organization and Long Range Planning, among other outlets. He has been visiting professor at the Universities of Cambridge (3 months), Nottingham (final year of BA and 1 month as a PhD student), London (1 month) and Warwick (15 months in 3 different visits), in the UK. He has also completed two short stays (2 weeks each) at the Real Colegio Complutense of Harvard University.
