As a PHD Student at Universidad de La Rioja and an MSCA ITN Fellow, I am passionate about developing innovative solutions for cancer immunotherapy. My PHD project focuses on the synthesis and bio-orthogonal protection of organic compounds and non-natural amino acids, and their application in designing unnatural antigens based on Mucin-1, a tumor-associated glycoprotein. I have a strong background in nanomedicine, with a MS degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and several publications and presentations in this field. Through my involvement in various research projects, I have also gained valuable skills and experience in pharmacogenomics, hyperthermia, texture analysis of medical images, and preclinical PET/CT imaging. I am part of the DIRNANO consortium, a network of 15 academic and industrial partners that aims to direct the immune response through designed nanomaterials. Through this collaboration, I had the opportunity to visit and work with leading researchers and institutions in Europe, such as LipoCoat BV and the University of Verona.
