My line of research focuses on the development of observational methodology and its applications in physical activity and sport. Highly relevant is the notable role I have played in the creation of ad hoc observation instruments and their incorporation to recording and coding instruments. I have also contributed to the adaptation of both synchronic and diachronic analysis within observational methodology. In terms of synchronic analysis, I have contributed to a deeper development in the application of models of simple and multiple logistic regression, decisional trees, and log-linear analysis at the heart of observational methodology. With respect to diachronic analysis, I have developed articles that have dealt with the following analysis techniques separately: lag sequential analysis, polar coordinate analysis T-Pattern detection. Works that have special relevance, for how they have influenced the utilisation of these techniques in researchers who have developed their work using observational methodology, are those that deal with comparative analyses of sequentiality and complementarity of results obtained by lag sequential analysis, polar coordinate analysis and T-Pattern detection. I have also covered the subject of the methodological complementarity between conventionally used statistical techniques and the detection of regular behavioural structures. Another feature of the deployed methodological development is the development of procedures for optimising data quality in observational records and about how to determine the minimum scale of the sample in observational methodology. I have also developed systematic reviews of a methodological nature (Systematic Mixed Study Review).
