Abstract
In this study we tackled an assessment of the accumulated impacts of climatic droughts, using the Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI), on the response of 187 hydrological basins distributed across the Iberian Peninsula. We analyzed, considering different types of regulation, the impact of water management in the modification of the hydrological response to precipitation deficits on different time-scales, the intensity of the changes induced by the different reservoir types and the role of lithology to explain the observed temporal inertias.
