Abstract

Quintilian, one of the most important teachers of rhetoric of Ancient Rome, collected in his Institutio oratoria a good number of reflections about studying as a method of learning and training for the future orator. Some of his recommendations are useful for education nowadays, and can be applied by teachers and students in our own time.
