Resumen

A series of titanium-platinum and -palladium heterobinuclear compounds with double thiolato bridges, [(η5-C5H4R′) 2Ti(μ-SR)2M(C6F5)2] (R′ = H, SiMe3; R = Ph, C6F5; M = Pd, Pt), has been prepared. The crystal structure of [(η5-C5H4SiMe3) 2Ti(μ-SPh)2Pd(C6F5)2] has been established by single-crystal X-ray crystallography: the complex crystallizes in the monoclinic system in space group P21lc; a= 10.237 (2) Å; b = 14.635 (3) Å; c = 27.651 (6) Å; β = 90.83 (2)°; Z = 4; and R = 0.056. The titanium atom is in pseudotetrahedral coordination environment, whereas the palladium is square-planar. The phenyl groups on the sulfur atoms adopt an endo (syn) arrangement with respect to the central Ti-S2-Pd core. © 1995 American Chemical Society.
