We study the spaces of functions on R n for which the generalized partial derivatives D k r k f exist and belong to different Lorentz spaces L p k, s k. For this kind of functions we prove a sharp version of the extreme case of the Sobolev embedding theorem using L ( ∞, s ) spaces. © 2005 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
