Resumen

This paper describes the stability properties of a Predictive Sliding Mode Controller developed by the authors. The controller is compared with a Generalized Predictive Controller and a Sliding Mode Controller, which are applied to a representative group of linear plants. Structured uncertainties are considered in a systematic manner. Normalized stability radius in the parametric uncertainties domain is also provided for each nominal model of study. The controllers are applied to a heat exchanger in order to show the Predictive Sliding Mode Controller robustness.
