Résumé

We define several notions of stability for coherent systems, and give two algebraic methods for computing the reliability of stable coherent systems. The approach we use is based on the algebraic approach to system reliability and uses Mayer-Vietoris trees and involutive bases as the main tools. We demonstrate that this approach is computationally e!cient giving some computer experiments.
