This work explores the application of Virtual Reality (VR) in the classroom through a unique educational experience. This technology demonstrates the educational potential of VR and how it enhances the teaching and learning process. In this article, we present an educational scenario where a 360-degree virtual environment was generated using an advanced 3D scanning technology with high precision was used to capture the real environment, such as a workshop or industrial sector. The obtained data consisted of point clouds and 360-degree images. With this data, a virtual 360-degree environment was created, allowing students to explore and experience an active sense of participation, as well as view environments that are not available in the classroom. Interactive markers with additional information were added to improve the educational experience and ensure continuous and more informative attention to the key points we wanted to highlight. The educational applications and benefits of VR in the classroom are diverse, ranging from history to architecture. In this case, we focused on the industrial field as an innovative activity in vocational training and university programs related to the industry. This experience provides a unique and accessible way to learn and explore complex concepts in environments that are otherwise impossible to reach in traditional classroom settings. It fosters motivation, realism, and improves information retention. Additionally, it opens up future opportunities for collaborative interaction, practical simulations, personalized learning, integration with artificial intelligence, and greater accessibility tailored to students' physical or psychological limitations. The application of VR in the classroom through educational experiences such as the 360-degree virtual environment and 3D scanning is rapidly enhancing the teaching and learning process in an unprecedented way. It provides students with an immersive way to explore and learn in virtual environments that simulate real-life situations. Although challenges exist, VR has the potential to create new educational opportunities in the present and the future.
