Zusammenfassung

The great relevance of Law 4/2023, of February 28, for the real and effective equality of trans people and for the guarantee of the rights of LGTBI people encourages us to open a Debate with great specialists who can offer a luminous answer to the following questions: Is the LGTBI community duly represented by lesbians, gays, transsexuals, bisexuals and intersex people or perhaps it should have been called LGTBI+ because someone with a different identity is missing from this list? determined sexuality that must also fit into the designated group? Do you think the legal recognition of voluntary «gender self-determination» is correct, in the Registry, without conditions or prior health, medical or assistance requirements, for the elderly —without conditions— and for minors under certain conditions —under the age of twelve? and fourteen years with judicial authorization and minors between fourteen and sixteen years accompanied by their parents and guardians—? Does the legal treatment of the sexual health of intersex people seem appropriate, with authorization, to all people and also to minors between twelve and sixteen years of age, to face practices of «gender reassignment» with genital modification provided that, due to their age and maturity, can they consent in an informed manner to its performance? In short: should consent always be at the center?
