Abstract
Monomial ideals that have the same polarization are called copolar. Copolar ideals share several important properties, like Betti numbers or height. Given an ideal I we can obtain information about it by examining the family of ideals copolar to a it. We give some examples of this approach that demonstrate its utility.Monomial ideals that have the same polarization are called copolar.
