Abstract

In the course of a project, knowledge is acquired, problems arise, and right or wrong decisions aremade that could benefit later projects. Companiesdocument and share such knowledge as lessonslearned to improve performance in future work. These lessons can be added in all types of projects, including those carried out in the Project BasedLearning (PBL) methodology. This paper presentshow the motivation, dissemination, collection, reviewand publication of lessons learned in a subject usingPBL has been organized. The analysis of the activityduring two courses shows a high level of studentsatisfaction with the reading of lessons and thelearning acquired. The number of proposals is similarto the number of students and the writer of goodlessons appears as someone achieving good academicresults, keeping a good follow up of the coursewithout perceiving the lessons of others morepositively than the rest. These results, and our experience stimulating thewriting and use of lessons learned, make us think thatthey have a great educational potential and that theycan be integrated in many PBL proposals.
