This paper deals with the derivational paradigm of Old English adverbs. An exhaustive analysis iscarried out of derivatives from around 21 basic adverbs provided by the lexical database of Old EnglishNerthus (www.nerthusproject.com). Then, the derivational paradigms organized around these basicadverbs are compiled and the conclusion is reached that the adverbial class plays an important role inword-formation in Old English.
