Abstract
This paper presents an unknown Spanish translation of Pergolesi's intermezzi La Serva padrona: the zarzuela La Criada señora that was composed for the theater season 1766-1767 by María Hidalgo's Company. It was included in two follas that had been written by playwrights Ramón de la Cruz and Fermín del Rey. The study analyses some matters related to the staging of these follas (such as their dramaturgy and the actors that performed them), examines the librettos of the so-called zarzuela, and discusses how the intermezzi´s reception would have been.
