Zusammenfassung
“Gallinaldia” is a socio-cultural pedagogic project to develop a feeling of respect for nature. The project is also aimed to create children literature to promote these values. This projects is a conjunction of the town of Nalda (La Rioja), the local elementary school, integrated in the Associated Schools of Moncalvillo, and the University of La Rioja through its Teacher’s College. One of the early benefits of the projects has been the reinvigoration and the renewal of Nalda’s historical “Festival of the Cocks”, including the tradition of cock races. A series of educational children’s books have been produced in conjunction with the town of Nalda, the local school and the University of La Rioja. These books will allow the educational influence that was also intended.
