Abstract

Basque pelota is positioned as an opposition sports when it is played individually and as a cooperative-opposition when it is played in pairs. Both alternatives share some tactic aspects with other sports played in court walls and divided courts. In this paper a double aim was approached: to deep in the more relevant tactics principles of this sport and to offer alternatives for its teaching treatment from modified games. After doing a bibliographical research, a route over the most common principles and decisions in each modality was designed. Thenceforth the different possibilities that compose the comprehensive and integrated in the learning of the decision-making, were set out. Finally it was displayed a group of modified games as an exemplification in the gradual and contextualized introduction of tactics in the learning processes of this sport.
