Selección clonal de variedades de vid autóctonas de Mallorcaaspectos sanitarios, genéticos y agronómicos

Resumen

The Clonal Selection for improving of Vitis vinífera varieties is a conceptually easy procedure. However the achievement of the best results implies the need to deepen into some aspects linked to grape cultivation, virus infections and intravarietal genetic variability. In this thesis different topics related to clonal selection have been studied. The manuscript is composed of 4 sections, each one corresponding to an article published (or in publication process) on impact international journals: On one hand, results allowed directing the clonal selection towards a successful conclusion. On the other hand, this thesis pretends to be a model for future processes through highlighting strong and week points within the Majorcan Clonal Selection Finally, the demonstration of the high intravarietal genetic similarities and the verification that environmental conditions are uniform between Binissalem-Mallorca and Pla i Llevant appellations suggest to discuss the possibility to have a unique appellation in the island.
