Résumé
The crisis that began in 2008 has caused a different social setting. Although we are now witnessing a process of economic recovery, it is equally true that a part of society has been impoverished and the most vulnerable groups are in a worse situation. This work analyses the consequences of the whole process and shows the main issues in Spain. The beginning starting points are the situation of the labour market and the growing precarity of the working conditions. Secondly, poverty and social exclusion scenarios are presented. Thirdly, the institutional answers to the crisis, marked by the budget cuts, are also analyzed. Finally, this paper concludes showing the scenario of the most vulnerable social groups, the ones which are negatively affected by this process, and which represent the biggest challenges for Spanish public policies in order to avoid the chronification as well as the perpetuation of inequality.
