Zusammenfassung

Some black-berried grapevine varieties may present red/gray and white somatic variants. In the Ebro valley, this occurs in Garnacha Tinta, Tempranillo and Mazuelo (Cariñena) generating varieties such as Garnacha Blanca, Garnacha Roja, Tempranillo Blanco and Cariñena Blanca. Genetic and molecular studies have associated color loss to the presence of deletions on grapevine chromosome 2 that affect the genes responsible for activating anthocyanin synthesis in the berry skin. In this work we selected SNP molecular markers located along chromosome 2 and found in heterozygous state in the varieties Tempranillo and Garnacha Tinta. These markers were used to characterize white and gray or red isolates of both varieties and allowed the identification of deletions associated to the loss of color and the estimation of their length. The comparison of the deletions found in each of the varieties makes it possible to make inferences about their origin.
