Resumen

Peach is one of the most dynamic fruit species regarding variety turnover, allowing to quickly adjust fruit typology offer in response to market needs. The main objective of this work was the genetic identification (using molecular markers) of 106 varieties from Provedo Breeding Program, as a tool to fight against illegal propagation. A second objective was to test molecular markers linked to fruit quality traits (flesh color, fruit shape, pubescence and acidity) to use it in early selection of “seedlings”. Finally, varieties were clustered by the most relevant agronomical and fruit quality traits.
