Zusammenfassung
The article analyzes some of the features that, according to Guy Standing, would define the precariat as a social category, namely, the process of insecurity, lack of professional identity and the feelings experienced. The aim is to analyze if these characteristics are met in a sample of unemployed people who share the common feature of job insecurity and age (28- 35 years), using a qualitative methodology with interviews. The study has been carried out by the OPEAS of UGT La Rioja with unemployed / as user / as service orientation, randomly selecting profiles of young people with a heterogeneous training and career paths. The results are provisional for the exploratory nature of the study but show that the features of the precariat are met in a high percentage of cases, providing evidence of the existence of a new segment or socio-economic category that shares working conditions, feelings and relationship distinctive with the state and the company.
