Abstract

The depopulation of many mountain villages from La Rioja, their population began the migratory process at the mid-sixties with the industrial development of the cities, has resulted in another phenomenon linked to the identity as it has been the recovery of the hermitages, almost always stimulated by the descendants of the last habitants, and the latest pilgrimages that represent it. Through religion celebrations have been analyzed some components in the recreation and construction of a cultural identity, as well as the requirement for its recognition by the community.
