Zusammenfassung

Dissipation of azoxystrobin (AZX) in a vineyard soil of La Rioja (Spain) unamended and amended with spent mushroom substrate (SMS) at rates of 50 and 150 t ha–1 has been studied in this work. The fungicide was applied in experimental plots in the field at the agronomic dose and five times higher and similar experiments were conducted in the laboratory. AZX dissipation followed biphasic kinetics in both experiments although the dissipation initial phase was much more rapid in the experiments carried out in field than in laboratory. Half–life values (DT50) obtained in both experiments were 0.34 – 46.3 days and 89.2 – 148 days, respectively. The distribution of AZX through the soil profile (0–50 cm) showed the mobility of the fungicide to deeper soil layers and persistence more than 378 days after application in all treatments. The results indicated the need to conduct studies under real field conditions in addition to laboratory studies when designing a rational application of the fungicide in soils amended with SMS with a view to the prevention of the pollution of groundwater.
