Abstract

This paper presents the most relevant results of a research analyzing the right to parental involvement in European education systems. In methodological terms, the novelty is the creation of a set of indicators, from the key informant consultation in the various European countries under study. Generally speaking, the results obtained have let to identify shortcomings in regard to the right of parental involvement in the education of their children. The findings corroborate the need to promote effective participation mechanisms which is essential to a quality education.
