Abstract

The essay takes ecofeminism as a theoretical frame which shapes some reflections on concepts as corporality, freedom or existence, which are related to the ecofeminist proposal of reconnecting human being and Nature. Ecofeminist theory develops a notion of „identity‟ based on the link between each individual and its natural environment that enables a new understanding of existence, body and liberty which is related to immanence and Nature. Ecofeminism defines an ethical proposal based on the interaction with Nature and on the value of difference and heterogeneity. Nature organises itself in an ecosystemical way which lays on the heterogeneity of both chemical and biological worlds. One of the most interesting conclusions of the ecofeminist theory is precisely this perspective on human being which goes beyond anthropocentrism and it places each individual in a relational, interactive context, connected with other individuals and other natural environments.
