Abstract
Throughout the history of Philosophy, the thought on human body has been developed in a way that has forgotten the differences between masculine and feminine bodyness. Nonetheless, the phenomenological perspective on the female body and its contexts heads to new meanings for this concept. One of those new meanings is based on the inner experience of difference, embodied by maternity. Also, there is the fact of discontinuity in physical processes of body growth and ageing, which introduces important changes in womens lives. Stating these reflections on human body, a new interpretative paradigm arises for traditional philosophical categories such as transcendent, existence or project.
