The University of La Rioja has a program in Managerial Curricular Skills developed in 3 courses (Managerial Skills in Family Businesses, Setting up an Enterprise and Business Game in an International Context) which follows the Space Higher Education European philosophy. After 3 years of experience, the outcome has been very positive in terms of the results obtained. The effort necessary to coordinate and train the teaching staff, the variety of methodologies combined to develop the courses, the establishment of links between University and business institutions and associations, and the openness of University to new business initiatives have helped to obtain attractive academic results and acquire managerial skills and competencies by our students. Within the same scope, the activities carried out in the so-called "Thursdays of the Business Sciences Faculty" are an observatory on the innovations, changes and novelties in the area of business management with a multidisciplinary and international vision of the different issues. Moreover, the visits to enterprises and the contact with management teams allow our students to know business life from the inside and learn different organizational and managerial styles
