A Uniparametric Halley-Type Iteration with Free Second Derivative.

Resumen

A multipoint iterative method is derived, for solving nonlinear equations in Banach spaces, which depends linearly on a real parameter. With the choice of 0.5 for this parameter, the method is reduced to the well-known mid-point method. Under appropriate conditions, the method shows a semilocal cubic convergence, independent of the value of the parameter. Two numerical examples are presented
