Resumen

In this work we carry out a modification of the Kantorovich conditions for the semilocal convergence of the secant method. This modification generalizes the Lipschitz and Hölder continuity conditions. Besides, we apply the result obtained to approximate the solution of a nonlinear boundary value problem
