Resumen

The simple 1:2 adduct (NBu4)2[{Pt(μ-κC(α):η2-C≡CPh)4}(CdCl2)2] 2 containing unusual η2-alkyne Cd interactions, as well as the unexpected tetranuclear dimer (NBu4)2[{Pt(μ-κC(α)C(α)-C≡CPh)4}2(CdCl)2] 1 stabilised by alkynyl bridging ligands and platinum-cadmium bonding interactions, have been characterised by X-ray crystallography and their luminescence properties have been also investigated.
