Resumen

Fluorescence lifetimes from different vibrational levels of the B(0 u +) and A(0u +) excited states of Te2 were measured following laser excitation between 468 and 492 nm. A radiative lifetime of 80+or-6 ns was determined for low vibrational levels (v=0-6) of the B(0u +) state. Lifetimes for vibrational levels of the A state were measured, resulting in smaller values than those previously reported for low vibrational levels. Results suggest a perturbation mechanism in the A state that becomes stronger as v increases. Dipole transition moments for the A-X and B-X transitions were calculated from the measured radiative lifetimes.
