Abstract
The synthesis of the complexes trans-[Pd(C6Cl5)X(CNMe)2] (X = Cl, Br, I, SCN) is described. These complexes undergo ready insertion of the CNMe ligand into the PdC6Cl5 bond to give pentachlorobenzimidoyl-bridged derivatives [Pd2{μ-C(C6Cl5NMe}2X2(CNMe)2].Aft terminal pentachlorobenzimidoyl complexes [Pd{μ-C(C6Cl5)NMe}X(CNR)2] can be isolated. © 1986.
