Resumen

A liquid chromatograph equipped with a continuous postcolumn derivatizing system has been hyphenated to a retention-detection integrated unit for developing a sensitive and selective method for determination of carbaryl and its hydrolysis product (1-naphthol). The method allows for the determination of these analytes in a linear range between 5 and 800 ng/mL with relative standard deviation values smaller than 4% and excellent selectivity for other compounds of the carbamate family.
