Abstract

Two trinuclear gold-thallium-gold complexes, [T1(C6F5)2X{Au(C6F5)3(PPH2CH2PPh2CH2PPh2(O))}2} (X = C6F5, C1), have been synthesised by reaction of [Au(C6F5)3(PPh2(O))] with [T1(C6F5)2C1] or [T1(C6F5)3(diox)], in which the phosphine oxide moiety coordinates to thallium; the crystal structure of the former product has been established by X-ray diffraction.
