Resumo

This paper presents a simple modelling of the power distribution systems and fundamental variables for representing load management strategies in order to simulate effects of such strategies in the electricity distribution networks operation. It has been tested by extensive computer experiments with data from a Spanish electric utility. The computer results (also from a Spanish Project) have shown that the most suitable strategies achieve positive effects of significant economical costs savings as well as important energy and power savings (in the feeders and substations) of the primary distribution systems operation. Furthermore, such strategies achieve notably improvements of the electric service quality for the consumers in terms of better levels of voltages.
