Résumé

The application of Petri nets for the automation of the sub-systems of the electric oven process in the Vinto Metallurgist Complex is presented in this paper. From the functional specifications of the process the control algorithm has been obtained, and the functional properties have been validated and verified by means of specific software, in order to guarantee its correct operation. With this objective the ARP software has been used for the analysis of the model, as well as HP-Sim and Visual Object Net++ for the graphic simulation. Once the properties of the model have been verified, it has been enabled for the implementation phase, in which the Token Passing Ladder Logic TPL has been used as a methodology for transforming the Petri net into an equivalent diagram of contacts to be programmed in the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). The paper is focused on the methodology and the software tools used to deal with PN in this industrial application.
