Cómo perciben los ancianos que viven en ambientes residenciales sus relaciones sociales con el mundo exterior

Abstract

We deal with the social of the institutionalized elderly in old people�s homes with the community. In order to know the group of people they have most contact with and also to know the relationship they have quite apart from the ones of the old people�s home, we have interviewed 68 institutionalized elderly (22 men and 46 women) with a medium age of 77,7 years old. All elderly declare to have kept in touch with relatives, neighbours and friends outside of the old people�s home at least once in the last week. Sometimes 67,6% of the elderly say to have left the residence during the last week. A big percentage of elderly the 91,2 %, inform that they usually or from time to time, receive visitors.
