Racionalización e internacionalización en la construcción del Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior y su proyección iberoamericana (1999-2010)estudio de caso de la Universidad de Valladolid

Abstract

The present work exposes the results of the doctoral investigations done with the aim of knowing the conduction and development of the changing processes experimented on higher education in the construction of the European Space of Higher Education during the period 1999-2010. Through hermeneutic analysis based specially on the sociology of education and of the rationalist historicism, facts, documents, discurses and praxis instrumented based on the Bologna Process, also taking into consideration the universities’ institutional and social structures transformations, as well as the behavior of its actors , we seek to show how rationalization and internationalization emerges as fundamental processes of the modernization of universities and how they materialize in the ordered educational structures to attend the new expectations of society up on the university mission.
